A short pencil is better than a long memory

Fabulous ideas may just hit us anytime. And they don't come around twice. I have read many times that a small pocket-sized notepad and a pencil/pen are MUST haves for succesful people.

Alhamdulillah, I have inculcate this habit for quite sometime already and found it very useful to quickly jot down the brilliant thoughts that may pop up. To be frank, my "light bulb" moments usually have a short life (LOL! if you understand that..). That's why i found it very helpful. Even my mum does this, though hers is not a nice cute little book like mine ;-) (well, she's a retired primary teacher). Hahaha and to add to that MaMa has her long list of contacts in this book of hers! This is simply because she doesn't keep them in her handphone. MaMa only carries her handphone to make / answer calls from us (children only), or maybe a few relatives and her close friends. We have stopped trying to text her...coz she doesn't bother to check the message box he he he. But wow, her networking is superb! I must get her to transfer some to me later he he he.

And another habit of mine that certainly helps my memory is, just by taking the pictures of the things/events with my handphone camera (a 3.2 mp one is great). These would be enough for some layman like me who doesn't own a sophisticated gadgets like i-pods, or whatever you may call it ;-)

Hard habit to break ;-)

The long weekend is big help. Had the opportunity to actually check my wardrobe. I realised that every morning I'll be standing there looking frustratedly at my clothes and tell my hubby "Uhhh, what am gonna wear today? I got no baju..." And Z will smile at me and ask "so, what do you call those things hanging in there?"

I got this crave about new clothes, new tudungs, new shoes & new handbags... alhamdulillah at least now I'm more careful in my spending. I usually pegang2 dulu & try on the things I like and then put them back slowly. When I go home, I would start "visualising" wearing them with whatever that i already have to match. Only then would I decide whether I really need those things or not. And if I did, that's when tido tak lena & termimpi2....hahaha, burux perangai. The very next day, I got them already!

I remember those days, I used to be buying on impulse. Some of the things ended up in the wardrobe, untouched for a very loooooong time. Luckily I'm not the brand concious kind of person, so long I like the things & I think they look great on me, yup, I'll buy.

I've just taken some pix of my personal things, just for the fun of it. Old or new, cheap or expensive, I keep them all in good care. My black Hilly handbag (a dowry from Z on our wedding) is still in great shape! And it is 17 YEAR OLD!!

I need some wonderful ecapades that will dazzle my senses, reawaken my ardour and most importantly touch my heart.

Ummm..how does that sound? Where to go this time? Start searching, start searching.. Maybe just the two of us, Z & me. Hope my pocket says ok to the idea, hehe. The kids can wait, ya!

Packing my things again! Second time in just 2 months...gonna move back to my old office, to my old workstation to be specific. Sigh...this is what happens when you work for others and they put the price tag on you. The value. My value.

I have decided that my value is in my hands. Mine to decide and I'm taking it seriously as not to lose my dignity. I have to run faster after my dreams...they are just too beautiful to let go. I have other parts of the world to explore & enjoy. However, in the meantime...I'll take it easy! Yeaaaahhh!! Allah bless me, please.

Oo la la...I'm back, after almost a week's break. I just can't believe the service interruption that P1Wymax is giving us. So unreliable! They better pay us back in dollar & cents..;-(

In just this 1 week, a lot has already happened. My 15 year old "baby" daughter had to go to a boarding school! Oh my...that was the hardest thing for us to do, to let her go. Some people would call it a "dream come true" to get the offer & opportunity. It's not that we're not thankful @ bersyukur, but truly..it was a hard decision to make to part. There have always been the 5 of us, together, no matter what..

My kids have been with us through the good & bad times. They understood us so well when we were not able to give more than we had. My kids never demanded for anything that's beyond our means. They have all been with me when i wept my tears after a fight with Z. And they laughed out loud when I act silly or shared great jokes with them. My kids would lie down together with us watching our favourite tv programmes, 1at my left, 1 in the middle & the other at Z's side.

And now that she's away, things are not the same anymore. I miss her, her sister & little brother miss her..and I know Z misses her so much too. Oh, yeah, I bet her 2 female hamsters miss her too! I pray to Allah that she'll be just fine, and that she'll be able to adapt to the new environment. She got to be strong to put up with the rush hours, washing, ironing, making her own bed, the not-so-nice meals (uhh, poor girl), etc. I know she misses home so, very much. From the 1st day, she calls me not less than twice a day. I think she still misses me...despite me being such a nag sometimes..(sob sob..)

Miss you much, girl!

MaMa's garden

Believe me, Mama's garden is one of the best in Keramat! She has hundreds of different kinds of plants in her garden. From flower plants to pokok pisang..you can find those in her well taken care garden. Before this, Mama could take care of her garden on her own. But now, Anis helps to keep the grass trimmed and to water the plants everyday. Mama would just do her daily "rounding" to check on which one grows new buds or which one needs some pesticides...

I took some pictures of her plants the other day. They are beautiful!

Underneath the Abaya..

Leggings...There are a various types out there. Colorful & fancy ones. I love wearing leggings with baggy, oversized shirts. It's so comfy and groovy too, esp when added with large dangling earings! Poor thing, I don't feel right wearing those on the street anymore, with my hijab on! Looks funny...and just not right as it features the shapes of my legs (although with long shirts on..)

So, I just wear my leggings at home..;-( And now thinking that I can wear them under the abaya like those Arab ladies I see at the shopping malls. They usually wear black abaya, but underneath you can see that they wear fancy & colorful stuffs! The thing is I don't wear abaya...not yet..maybe later...;-)

She's one of my fav star... always looking great, pretty face, prety smile, classy beauty & ...wow, SEXY! Jennifer Lopez, yup, she's the one! Look at her with the headgear on...nice!

Check it out!

Thanx darling hubby..

Today's the day! So the very terharu to get a beautiful diamond ring from Z. When I got it in my hands, I was so touched and almost cried. I know, it's been in my wish list for a very long time. It's been too long, that I didn't expect to get it today. No special occasion, no birthdays, no anniversaries..

So I made him slip it to my finger. TA DA...it fits the middle finger perfectly. Thank you so much, darl. I luv you. Terima kasih daun keladi, my wish list panjang lagi... ;-)
